Thrust calculations

Does anyone know how DCS does thrust calculations? With the recent hotfix to the F-14, I'm left wondering if it actually models it properly.

 

I've been under the impression that air density is actually calculated and then used by the engine model to determine thrust since the Ka-50 was released. Does anyone know if this is true for all/none/certain modules?

Flying the DCS: F-14B from Heatblur Simulations with Carrier Strike Group 2 and the VF-154 Black Knights!

It might be module dependent.

Tomcat uses Heatblur own technology and tools in many aspects IIRC, so they are the only ones able to answer that.

The KA 50 engines are not made to produce thrust they drive a shaft as opposed to a jet that is designed to produce thrust. In both cases air density is a factor. :)

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.
