Can some please tell me how to download skins? I've tried and failed so many times. I'm particularly interested in skins for F/A-18 & F-5. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Take care. God bless.

1) Locate your /saved games/dcs.openbeta/" folder

2) Inside it create a folder named "Liveries"

3) Inside "Liveries" create a folder named "F-5E-3" for the F-5 and another named "FA-18C_hornet" for the F-18

4) Put the folder of each skin on a separate folder within those two ... like this:

Keep in mind that some Liveries came already pre-packaged inside a folder structure ... you need to extract just the final folder, the one containing the actual graphics files.

Also, some liveries are valid only for certain countries, so for example a Luftwaffe livery probably will not show up for a japanese Hornet.

Cheers.

I don't see a saved games folder. But there is a Liveries folder already there with f/a-18c folder. I tired putting the new skins there but when I go into the simulator to select a skin there not there. What am I doing wrong ?

The saved games folder full path is usually something like this:

C:\Users\<your user name>\Saved Games\DCS or DCS.openbeta\

Within this path, you need to create a folder named "Liveries" and within that another folder named "FA-18C_hornet" ... take a good look to the screen cap I posted earlier ... my Windows is in spanish, so "Saved Games" shows up as "Juegos Guardados"
