Recommended Posts

Hi All

My trackir center view has been changed since i updated to 1.5.4.

I did work around by replacing Nevada trackir default.lua (not working 100% properly must to zoom in after joining the game) however just work around for me now.

Yes it appears that I'm now sitting right up on the HUD, by making seat adjustment to move back, or up and down makes the HUD information unreadable.

It appears to me the hud readout sits a little high in the display now.

1.54 Wrecked the A-10C Cockpit View!

The update to 1.54 wrecked the default viewpoint in the cockpit!

Your head is up against the top of the canopy and the FOV is all stretched looking downwards at the consoles.

Please put this back the way it was! :wallbash:

Track IR view still broken

See for example:

I'm having problems in the A-10C, the base view is angled upwards. Previous Open Beta thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169026

To those testing the sim internally, can you please keep an installation free of any custom files you may have so that you can actually test this stuff? It's getting tiring. And the "you shouldn't be applying to Open Betas if you can't deal with bugs" argument isn't valid anymore.

HUD info is now too wide and my default position when you hit "Enter" key is way too far back.

I've now got a red line across the Absolute Longitude Shift Camera View that I've got programmed for TrackIR Z axis, plus default keys * & / on the keypad.

In both 1.54 Open Beta and Stable release, I find the readout in the KA-50 HUD to be offset somewhat upwards. Here is a comparison between 1.54 SR and 2. Open Alpha:

DCSW2 Open Alpha:

Screen_2.%20Alpha.jpg

DSW 1.54 SR:

I find the view to be the same in 1.54 Open Beta as Stable Release.

I can confirm this bug for A-10C, F-15C and UH-1H (all I have tried).

Attached default views for previous 1.5.3 stable and latest 1.5.4 openbeta.

I don't mind that they break the beta release, that is what it is for, but why on Earth did they push this patch into the stable without testing? mad.gif

I'm not sure what needed to be "corrected" about the TrackIR

"In-cockpit TrackIR functionality corrected. Influence of mouse and default camera position was switched off."

Although DCS has never got the motion of the device completely correct. Ideally it should just match what you see on the Naturalpoint preview screen.

DCS needs to be re-centered a lot. That's not needed on games which get the implementation correct.

Track IR Tracks relative to head position in sensor and not relative to default View angle.

meaning if you are looking straight forward IRL, your Tracking will having you look straight forward in Virtual cockpit.
