BitMaster
Apperently, as a Cisco tech found out by pure accident, Piriform's CCleaner Version 5.33 has been infected with Malware on the original vendor's website. This is real bad, as the tempered file uses Piriform's certificate..which tells each and every Antivirus "Hey..I am a good guy" and thus could do it's work for the past month !!! ! nothing is secure ! 3 Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X

grunf
How do I tell which version I have! MJ The version is shown on the top left corner of the CCleaner window. If you don't want to run it, hover the mouse over the ccleaner.exe file (not the desktop shortcut, but the .exe itself).
trindade
It's just the 32bit version. I believe most of us are using the 64bit.
hsth
I ran Malwarebytes in 64 bit version 533 and got this: "Trojan.Floxif, C:\PROGRAM FILES\CCLEANER\CCLEANER.EXE, Quarantined, [8820], [436381],1.0.2839." Uninstalled ccleaner and now back on version 5.32.
Nooch
I used to run ccleaner back in the day about ten years ago but I stopped using it because my pc was running perfectly fine without. IMO this software is more a waste of time than anything else. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
