I've looked through all of the obvious sections of the manual (I think), but I can't find the answers I'm looking for. Does anyone know the max speeds? javelina1 Posted September 3, 2016 Share Posted September 3, 2016 On the civil MD80 you can drop the gear at even higher speed: 555km/h and the first 13deg of flaps at 520km/h. You can do breathtaking fast approaches until really close to the field with these limits :) I'd say! Yikes!
