As far as i remember multi-crew was not in DCS as the UH-1 and MI-8 was released and it was never advertised on the ED shop(for those two modules) to have/or get multi-crew support. This was always a community wish, maybe Belsimtek said they will try to implement it(not sure, can't remember) but as far as i remember it was never an official feature for both modules. The only thing they advertised is that both modules have multi-crew positions(pilot, co-pilot...) which you can switch inbetween and that is in since day 1 for both modules.

They recently updated saying they were waiting for HB Tomcat multi crew situation to settle down and that it was harder than they though because of the sharing of one cockpit

This later update is really too late. More than half decade and no multi crew yet.

Actually i did check both modules on the ED Store before i did my post and none mentioned the sentence you quoted.

It's entirely possible that i'm just to stupid to read but if i goto the ED shop all i see is this:

So true... and again we go back to my topic start question.. If HB has a new multi-crew network layer.. perhaps ED could do something with that? They can't seem to get it working themselves.. And thinking out loud now.. HB _might_ make the A-6 which has a side by side cockpit as well.. Could it be that during development of their own network code they might have had the A-6 in mind as well? Just speculation mind you.

Thank you, i don't get it why you don't get that information if you go to the E-Shop and click there on the modules...

They mentioned it as Key-feature, so they should implement it as soon as possible, but to be honest, i don't think both modules (UH-1 and Mi-8 ) have any priority at the moment/near future, sadly

This holds true for a lot of the modules.. After it's out the door in whatever state ED/Belsimtek and most other 3rd party devs are quite slow in finishing their products.
