Valkween
As the title says, when going to the editor and putting and F18C starting mid air makes the comms menu unusable. This problem can be reproduce with any instant mission that starts mid air. EDIT: This also happens after taking off. Tried validating files just in case but nothing... I'm using the steam version. Raven (Elysian Angel)
This is not a bug, but intended behaviour for full-fidelity modules. The communication-menu is used on the ground, mainly for communicating with ground crew, before you started up your systems. Once you're in the air, use the radio buttons. Deceter
Comm menu does not work for me in Instant Action missions. Aerial refueling in VR is very difficult having to press SHIFT \ every time I need to go Pre Contact. I would call this a bug.
Frederf
The generic "/" comms menu represents your vocal chords. It's you speaking into your cockpit. You are heard because the window is open or the intercom is connected to the ground crew via corded telephone. Clearly this would not function while airborne. It's inadvisable to open the window at speed and the corded telephone has a limited cord length. Once airborne (or really taxiing at any speed) the "/" device isn't able to communicate with anyone. You need to use a radio device which is a specific button to trigger which is a different keyboard or joystick bind.
