TheTrooper
Hi All, I've been watching tutorials where mission editors view the units they're working with in game. How thew hell do you do that? In game when I press F2 after selecting an Aircraft works. Can't view ground units? I tried F5, F7 blah blah. Any ideas? What do you do to? ----------------------------------------------- Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-6700 (3.4GHz) 8MB Cache | 32GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2133MHz | MSI GeForce RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G |SSD 1TB 970 EVO Plus M.
Kang
F7 should do the trick. You should check your settings; there is an option about what units shall be visible to the player. If that is set to 'fog of war', for example, you can only view units that friendly forces see, similar with 'only self' - pretty self-explanatory - and so on. Sedlo
If you are using Track IR, the F7 key is a default hotkey for precision control of the head tracker. Unless you change the hotkey in TrackIR, the F7 in game ground view will not work. My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS
SUNTSAG
Just as an aside, it is also important to remember that you cannot obtain an external view of a static object. The external view (F7) only works with actual placed ground units. F9 works for Ships and F2 for aircraft.
