GafferDCS
This happen to anyone else? Usually to initially designate a target with the targeting pod, I set TDC slew mode (TDC is underlined), boresight the pod, move the TGP icon in the HUD over whatever I want to target, then press TDC down (action). This used to lock my targeting pod onto whatever it was looking at on the ground, then I can slew it around for a fine-tune. Now, when I initially press TDC action, it snaps to the DMT. I have to go back through the display to get back to the targeting pod. AKA Gaffer
Zarma
Always been like this, you dont need to push the TDC action button for the TGP to stay on the point you aimed. i9 9900k, 64 Go RAM, RTX 4090, Warthog HOTAS Throttle & Stick, Saitek Combat Rudder, MFD Cougar, Trackir 5 Pro, Multipurpose UFC and Oculus Rift S (when I want some VR), http://www.twitch.tv/zarma4074 / https://www.youtube.com/user/Zarma4074

noisy_lightning
With it boresighted instead of tdc action Just use any direction of slew quickly. It will then have the effect you are seeking.

Sure, but this is a workaround at best... AKA Gaffer
noisy_lightning
Sure, but this is a workaround at best...It's the method I use with every TGP in DCS, not sure if it's how they do in real life but if the outcome is what you want and it's not a bug (thinking about how it does it it's designed to work like this) then it's not just a work round. It's a valid method.
