Noob question - key input

Hi there,

sorry if the question is stupid. I´ve only written scripts for another sim (the sim with X) so far and now I´m trying DCS. What strikes me is that I havent found an answer to a very simple, fundamental question yet:

I´m looking for a way to react to keyboard/joystick input (keys) directly in the script. For example, switching to the next checklist position at the push of a button. Can someone please push me in the right direction?

I hope I'm mistaken, but I seem to recall people saying that the DCS scripting engine can't be used to access controller inputs.

As a workaround, I guess you can play around with argument conditions in ME.
