Hellcat
It's worth noting that we do not actually recommend using the VPC WarBRD with extensions - this was done in the tests to exaggerate the load. :joystick: I only found this one ^ Wrong. They said you will lose the warranty if you use extensions on WarBRD base. Can you point me to the loss of warranty statement please? dburne
I only found this one ^ Can you point me to the loss of warranty statement please? I would think the " do not recommend " statement is there just for that reason, covers them from warranty claim if one uses an extension. I suppose ....I didn't think 3" would be much considering the stock grips seem like their taller than the warthog grip I'll be using... i7-9700K @ 5.0 l MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus MB l 32GB DDR4 2400 Ram l Sabrent Rocket Q 1TB M.2 l EVGA 3080 FTW l Win10 Pro l WarBRD/Warthog Hotas l VKB MkIV rudder Pedals l Reverb G2
sze5003
I think the warBRD will already be taller than the warthog base and the grip itself is also tall so using extension on the desk will probably not be a good idea or comfortable. If you want to use an extension, might as well just get the regular t50 base and grip and mount it wherever you want. Seb71
Can you point me to the loss of warranty statement please? Not sure if they officially mentioned this outside of Russians forums. But in those they said it a few times (even Baur himself, the designer of WarBRD said it will be mentioned in the warranty conditions that you can't use extensions). This should be mentioned in the product webpage, for sure, because it's important. Similar situation with the MongoosT-50 base: the maximum extension of 150mm is only specified in the Russian manual. sze5003
I just hope it's not too tall to use the warBRD on a desk, like uncomfortable tall. I'll most likely still use the warthog grip but damn I can't wait to switch out from the warthog base..you can hear it every time I fly it's so annoying. I wish I had the option to mount, but my desk is too thick and other options would have cost me more. Seb71
Total height of WarBRD base is 105mm/~4.13" (measured from the bottom of the base plate to the top surface of the stem/end of the stem).
Seb71
Also, with the heavier Warthog grip on WarBRD base they said you must use the stronger springs (WarBRD base comes with 2 sets of springs - "Standard' and "Heavy"). And this is needed for using the Warthog grip, even without an extension.

I also have not checked their forums but last time I did, did not see anything related to the warBRD use and maintenance. Hopefully there will be a guide on how to switch to the heavier springs. I will do this from the beginning and use both grips this way with the heavier springs. Still should be smoother than the warthog and make helicopters easier to fly. GriffonBR
Got this on my mail today. We're currently working through the pre-order queue from the start (which opened mid-April). We're aiming to get a large portion of the pre-orders dispatched within the next few weeks. Further status updates will be posted on our website very soon! Pretty much the same words that they are given on Facebook. We have to be patient, it's a small company and besides we can not rush them so much.
