Fakum
I was unable to physically find a FARP on the 104th server by just using the Grid "LM07", so the briefing offers a frequency of "126.0" (signal broadcasted by troops on ground). I was unable to figure out how to use this. Most of the tutorials I have watched on Youtube focus on beacons. Can anyone please point me in the direction of instructions? My Google searches over the last 2 days have proved unsuccessful. Quadg
with a freq. of 126.0 did you try using the nav com radio for homing? that would be the VOR/ILS approach in chucks guide. for instructions not ADF or FM navigation. there used to be a problem with certain frequencies not being available to home too in multiplayer. don't know if its fixed. Fakum
I believe I did try that as well, I will review Chucks Guide on that. I admit, I did not consider searching that guide. Frederf
VHF communication radio is in the range 116.000-149.975 MHz but has no DF-ability.
Fakum
Hmmm,, so it appears that I am setting the wrong radio, I was setting "Nav-Com"? If I set the VHF-Comm, turn the power on, I still dont get any results? Forgive my ignorance, but what is "DF"? I may know less than you but, I think DF direction finer since ADF means Automatic direction finder and DM means distance measurement [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Window 10, i9-9900,2080TI, 32GB ram Puma Pro Flight Trainer, 2 x 1TB WB SSD NVMe HP Reverb
Fakum
Makes sense, I have no idea then how im supposed to use 127.5 then to find a FARP,,,, Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle
SUNTSAG
127.5 is the standard comms channel for FARPS (ATC). Its not a Nav Aid and that has to be added separately to the mission either via CTLD or the in sim Mission Editor. Historically there have been issues with setting up Nav Aids via the Mission Editor for Multiplayer environments (Only the host being able to tune and hear the transmission). No idea if this has been addressed yet to be honest. Callsign: NAKED My YouTube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

epoch
I think you need to place a ground unit at the FARP transmitting on FM. I did ask about this last year, and Maverick said he'd put it on his to do list, but perhaps hasn't got round to implementing this yet.
Fakum
Ok,, well, seems I have at least figured out why I was not able to do what I thought I could.
