FlankerMan
I just tested the F-16C (Block 52D) to see if it could use guided A/G weapons without a TGP, and it managed to do it with all the weapons I tested: AGM-65D, AGM-88C, AGM-154C, GBU-12, and GBU-38. Is this a bug? Can it fire those without any king of external targeting system in real life?
Harlikwin
I assume this is the AI version. IRL. AGM-65 Yup AGM-88 Yup AGM-154C YUP (if using pre-planned coords, which you would if you could) GBU-12 yes, if someone else is lasing target GBU-38 (same as AGM-154) Realistically all the TGP does for you is provide a way to verify a target visually, as well as lasing, and a dynamic source of target coordinates for GPS guided munitions if you don't already have them. I assume you tell the AI F16 to go bomb something, so it knows where that target is. Also, and I might be wrong on this, the GBU-12 could likely just be dropped as dumb bomb if there is no laser present (it wouldn't guide though). FlankerMan
The GBU-12 was the only one I was really weirded out by. The F-16 was indeed AI, skill level high, and it was the only aircraft in the mission (just 1). Its task was SEAD (the target was a P-19 SR), and I didn't tinker with the advanced waypoint actions.
