Really? OMG!! You have got to be kidding me. HB just like in any other business looks to provide a desired service for profit. But Oh! maybe your are right. They just might get their feelings hurt. Pickup their toys and go home while at the same time flushing all of the overhead invested in the project down the tubes, while having to refund all of the early purchase $ and forgo future income streams for the module. Yep - sounds like a sound business plan to me.

"I'm a fighter pilot Tex, not a murderer."

all time favorite game and I totally remember that quote even though I was very young and non native Eng speaker!

And how long does ED take for approval of a mod, Jabbers said that HB basically send them the "gold" version.

Wags is currently out-of-town, and I have no idea when he'll be returning. Surely things an impact on the Tomcat being approved.

The MIg19 is currently in review so no F14 this week.... If Razbam would have made their job weeks ago the chances are higher we would get the tomcat this week, but I'm 100% they want to sell the Mig19 before because noone else would bother weeks after the Tomcat would be released.

This is crazy talk. Although I can believe Razbam would want to beat the 14 out the door there's no way ED would delay the 14 for it. They will make so much more money off the 14.

They already have with preorders and it's not crazy because it has been confirmed that HB submitted the F14 and that ED is currently greenlighting the Mig19. So yes, they delay the F14 for the Mig19 which makes sense from a marketing / sales point of view.

Haha...this comment cracks me up and concerns me at the same time.

Since when did consumers become slaves to business?

If they withdrew it they'd have to refund our money, and they wouldn't realize their dream of releasing this product. I'm sure they want to see this product, their baby, come to life given the hundreds or thousands of hours spent in development. I was a dev with BMS for close to a decade and we worked for free. There's no way we would not have released work we spent years working on. Most dev have thick skins and tend to ignore negative posts.

More importantly, if the product was canceled life would go on; its not the end of the world.

It will be released regardless what is posted on these forums.

Much of which has likely already been spent, so yeah, unlikely a release would be needlessly delayed let alone cancelled.

I dunno, I'm sure the mig will beat the F14 to release, but I don't think ED would delay the 14 just because they want the 19 to have 2 weeks of sales or whatever. People who want the mig will buy it regardless of what is going on with the 14.

Besides I'm trying to get excited about HB's upcoming Beach Volleyball sim...

This statement is akin to telling a toddler that if they don't brush their teeth you will take them to the police station and have them thrown in jail.

In your defense, for some reason, I only could see what/who you were responding to by quoting your post helps me understand that this wasn't the most asinine post within the last 10+ pages of all the intermittent and highly entertaining emotion-fueled screeching. :prop:

The predominantly quite serious comments on this post really show the current state of mind on this forum.

Waiting for the Tomcat, I feel some of these guys wouldn't know a joke if it hit them flat out in the face..

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

After rereading this and the recent update-thread, I'm now absolutely sure that Israelis have kidnapped the release candidate during the handover to prevent Iran from using DCS as an F-14 simulator, that turns their already awesome pilots into possible supadupa pilots. A big F-14 fan from the DCS community is a big shot at the CIA and has reactivated Wags. Everybody was told he's on vacation, but in fact he's leading a secret rescue mission. The whole thing is so serious that it could trigger a 3rd World War. So I sold my gaming rig and ask for refund to start extensive prepping.
