Template / Huey too shiny

I tried a new livery for the Huey and I was using the same base colors like for my Mi-8 livery. However, I noticed that the Huey looks completely different (very bright and way too shiny) when I compare it with the Mi-8.

In other words, the Mi-8 is dark gray and the Huey seems silver.

So I'm simply wondering if my template maybe misses some information (I'm using Corel Draw which means I had to open and convert the psd into a cdt).

Or in other words, how can I make the Huey less shiny? Is it done in the main texture or is there another file?

I think I had a similar problem with the Mi-8 but I simply used a different spec file. However, that doesn't seem to work with the Huey (note, my knowledge about the spec file is little/zero).

yes all my selfmade textures are screwed up. I compared the description.lua. They changed something in there as could see. Instead of fixing the huey shine through of the lights they mess it even more up :(

yeah some how it sounds like that...wierd thing is, that all the other home made textures work...only my modded files dont work. thats wierd....

I waited with the correction of my skins when they changed in the open beta...I thought they might change it back again for the stable version. Since they didn't, it's now time to correct the skins.

Depends what textures you use from the original Huey and which one you changed/created yourself.

Well actually I just changed the main and tail textures. I compared the description.lua with the ones who work. there is no difference but the main and the tail textures. See the image to understand what happened: The body has plane yellow in original, not that digi camo trash. Any hint? I know the name of the seemingly missing textures. But in the description.lua they are correctly assigned.

I am thanksfull for any advice.

Dfficult to say w/o seing the default.lua ;-)

All I had to change was

{"uh1_weapon", 0, "uh1_weapon_blk.bmp", true};

to

{"uh1_weapon", 0, "uh1_weapon_blk", true};

since they renamed this file. I don't know what's wrong with yours :(

Since I have probplems with the spec maps for tail and main i guess I just delete the ".bmp"

my all addon liveries gone and nothing was said by devs as always
