Switching between VR an non VR Mode

Recommended Posts

Hi,

havent found anything so far,

What i want to achieve is an easy way to fire up DCS with VR disabled/enabled.

Reason behind: if i just want to fly i do it in VR but generating Missions is no fun in VR so im searching for some startup parameter or anything like that to be able to start it without VR activatet so i dont need to go to the config, turn off.... wait for the restart.... and back again.

Is there an easier way?

As stuartaston points out, Skatezilla's app is the easiest way:

You can also visit the VR subforum for info: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=497

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind combat pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

You can also copy the standard launch link.

(Rename NO VR) Add to the end of the copied link (Right Click Properties)

"...\DCS\bin\dcs.exe" --force_disable_VR

attachment.php?attachmentid=225204&stc=1&d=1579236951

Using the DCS.exe stops dcs checking for updates. Unlike DCS_updater.exe launcher found in the same folder.

I also use Skatezilla's app when installing modules etc. Very handy app to use.
