Horns
When a pilot is deciding whether to launch a missile at a particular target, should that pilot take into account the number of G the target is pulling, or does that not matter provided the missile can remain within its own flight envelope? Reworded: Are there any constraints on the max number of G a target can pull and still be tracked, or is a missile bound only to its own max G? Either answer is fine (after all, you have to draw the line on detail somewhere), just trying to work out if pulling G alone could be a valid defensive tactic against some missiles. Exorcet
Target g load only matters indirectly. If the target pulls enough g to evade a seeker's ability to track it, overstress a missile, or bleed it of energy, the attacking pilot should not fire. Technically though, g by itself does not mean much. Thanks for explaining :) Edited September 28, 2018 by Horns Added detail Modules: [A-10C] [AJS 37] [AV8B N/A] [F-5E] [F-14] [F/A-18C] [FC3] [Ka-50] [M-2000C] [Mig-21 bis] [NTTR] [PG] [SC] Intel i7-12700F, Nvidia GTX 3080, MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi, 32GB DDR4 @ 1600 MHz, SteelSeries Apex Pro, Razer Basilisk 3 VKB Gunfighter 3 w/ F-14 grip, Thrustmaster Warthog throttle, Thrustmaster MFD Cougars x2, MFG Crosswind, DSD Flight Series button controller, XK-24, Oculus Rift (HM-A)
