Vista 64bit... people slag Vista off, however, I can't say I have ever had a problem with it. Granted W7 may be more efficient and W7 will be my next OS on a new build.

Anyone know if M$ have plans to cease retailing W7 in favour of the tablet OS (W8?

Apple OS-X Mavericks for all games but DCS meanwhile.

Almost no crashes across all titles ( F1 2012, Colin Mc Rae Dirt 2, Wargames ESC, Wargames ELSB, Counterstrike Source, Aero Professional, etc etc... Steam and Apple Store free me from complex patch management and storing CDs...

Linux is my 2nd choice, same as Apple in stability and Steam offers Wargames as linux edition too.

Ubuntu 64 Desktop, latest edition and always a copy of LTS if all others fail.

Windows is only a MUST and not a personal choice anymore. If DCS goes MAC or LINUX one day, I will toss my Windows finally. Actually, the only reason why I have a copy of Windows installed is DCS.

Linux 3.16 (using Arch Linux distribution) and currently reinstalling Windows 8.1 x64 after Windows 10 x64 (trial time reasons). On other computer windows 7 x64.
