How long could a smoke test be really?

Can't hurry the smoke test.

I mixed a little, 1.5 Open Beta will available ONLY for owners of open beta of whole DCS ???

 

Not as patch for "normal" DCS?

 

What with L-39 in this situation? I don't want to have 2 installations.....

You can tell the autoupdater to update your install to open beta. Otherwise you will be excluded from the beta phase.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Well since Mr. Changelog says 1.5 will be released in a few hours is there ANY recent word on whether the steam open beta branch is getting updated too?

I prefer steam for a lot of reasons (ED can't take that from me) and I'd rather stick to a single DCS install.

Correct me anybody if I'm wrong but I think that EDGE is a new Engine and so it will come as seperate Installation. You dont necesserily need to have DCS World installed in order to install 1.5

 

Its for everybody who wants to take a look at it, no matter what you've installed and what not.

Ok, thanks. But the beta will overwrite the old client, or will add a new one?

 

For the steam version, the open beta will overwrite the normal version.

If you want two installs, you can still download the open beta client for the standalone version from ED.

Are we going to get the L39(C-ZA) subsection of the forum as soon as 1.5 hits?

I remember we get 1 type of the L-39 and one comes later. :D The C now and the ZA version later. This was in one of the vids from Matt.

I have the BS2 update from Bs1 module and actually I can't activate it in Open Beta.

Anyone knowif this can change with 1.5 or I can't fly it anymore*?

 

*with anymore I mean for a long long time cause I think the beta will lasts more than a year.

I'm flying since 1988 (Flight Simulator 3.0) :pilotfly:

What says the module manager? Do you have the serial in your profile when you logged in by http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com?

 

Did you do a repair? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030

I wouldn't recommend it. 1.5 will first arrive in the open beta release version, which is bound to be plagued by bugs. If you want to have a stable version ready keep your old install. It will be updated automatically just like always, when it is deemed ready by Eagle Dynamics.

I don't play 1.2.16 any more. Just waiting for 1.5 to start again. Stable or not, I'm not gonna back to 1.2 :no:

 

So if i understand right, open beta means a paralel game version to the stable one? 1.5 will not update over 1.2?
