Coug4r
So with the 1.5.4 update the headtracker.dll was no longer usable but i preferred FreeTrack over OpenTrack. Had all the FreeTrack settings to my liking and then the DLL crashes DCS. There's a way to make FreeTrack work again though using vJoy and FreePie: FreeTrack (in case you don't have it yet): http://www.free-track.net/ vJoy: https://sourceforge.net/projects/vjoystick/ FreePie: http://andersmalmgren.github.io/FreePIE/ Just going into vJoy and FreePie details here. Install vJoy and leave everything default. If the install went correctly you should see your vJoy device in device manager under Human Interface Devices and also in DCS later on. Install FreePie and run it. Download and unzip the attached script and open it with FreePie. Press F5 to run the script, shift-F5 to stop it. You want to run it so just press F5. In FreeTrack make sure the FreeTrack interface is checked: In DCS set the vJoy axis like this using the drop down list for the axis: .. and enjoy FreeTrack in DCS again: [ame] [/ame]FreeTrack3-7.zip Edited July 27, 2016 by Coug4r - If man were meant to fly he'd be filled with helium. splash
I'm still using Freetrack with my Track IR 2. No changes apparently. What's exactly your problem?
Coug4r
The headtracker.dll is no longer usable, makes DCS crash and i used it for FreeTrack. With this setup you don't need the dll anymore. - If man were meant to fly he'd be filled with helium.

sniperwolfpk5
Well it is working fine. You must run opentrack first and then start the sim. Win10, Intel 3rd Gen. Core i7 3.8Ghz, 20GB ram, Nvidia Geforce 1060 6GB Opentrack (Download it from HERE), PS3 Eye, Saitek x52-pro Joystick, DIY Rudder Pedals, Google Cardboard with DCS World English is not my native language
Coug4r
Like i wrote, i prefer FreeTrack. I'm still using Freetrack with my Track IR 2. No changes apparently. What's exactly your problem? I may have missed some option or method but i couldn't get FreeTrack to work in DCS without extra stuff, how did you get it to work? - If man were meant to fly he'd be filled with helium. sniperwolfpk5
Man you have to update yourself. Opentrack is really good. I don't know why you still stick to freetrack Win10, Intel 3rd Gen.
Coug4r
I have OpenTrack and used it, that's why i prefer FreeTrack. - If man were meant to fly he'd be filled with helium.
splash
In my case, Opentrack does not recognise my TrackIR2 as a camera and I couldn't get it to work, but Freetrack+headtracker.dll is working flawlessly in my system (I'm using W7 Ultimate). Coug4r
Strange, that's where it crashed for me and others reported the same issue so i was looking for a workaround/solution and created one. Just sharing it, if you prefer OpenTrack or whatever piece of software stick to it. - If man were meant to fly he'd be filled with helium.
Wildcat64
Hi Coug4r, thx for your workaround/solution but it doesn't seem to work for me (sad). I have DCS 1.5.4 with Black Shark 2. I installed vJoy succesfully and see it under HID in Win7. I also succesfully installed FreePie and loaded your script and let it run with F5. Free Track skull works fine in Free Track but sadly no response in DCS although vJoy axis set accordingly to your instructions. Any idea where I go wrong?
