TAD map looks turned ACW +-10 degrees

Hi.

On 2.5 and Caucasus map, flying the A-10C straight ahead into a waypoint (centered on nose of the aircraft, no crosswind), it does not show on TAD at twelve o'clock, the point is shown on the left side, it seems that the TAD map looks turned around 10 degrees anticlockwise.

Thank you.

Antonio.

Hi,

Did some tests on 2.5 "release"Caucasus map. (No mods, No wind)

When you are flying on track between two way-points, the line is turned a little to the left a the top of TAD MFD and to the right at the bottom.

Is it something related with Magvar ?

The same situation seems to be ok on the Nevada map.

Regards,

Bastien

Hi,

Can somebody else have a look at this point ?

I don't have the 1.5.8 version installed, but don't remember how it was working exactly.

Is this issue have been already reported before the release 2.5 ?

Thanks

Regards,

Bastien

If you look at the TAD using a snap view so that you're looking directly at the display, does it still look off?

I've noticed this but have always chalked it up to the fact I'm looking at the display at a keystoned angle and that perhaps it's just parallax.

No, I'm not sure if it's a normal feature or not

On the Nevada map there is a little rotation to the TAD map too ( but less than the Caucasus map)

It's easy to see :

-set a ready to takeoff A10C on a runway with a way-point at 12o'clock and >20nm

-load the mission

-look the TAD map and click on "Fly" button

We can see the map rotating when entering the plane

It's definitely not a feature...

Screens of TAD display rotation

Ok

Some screens to show the TAD before entering the cockpit and just after.

Can someone from the ED Testers Team take the point to check and report if needed ?

Thanks
