DmitriKozlowsky
This is kind of silly, for mission editor not to have something as simple as coalition editing. Seems short sighted.
defeatist99
OK. I feel stupid. What am I suppoused to do with it. Its just LUA script code. There is a way to do it editing the mission files themselves but it's a fairly tedious task that usually requires a lot of enumeration. The mod would probably be easier. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121373 This guide works to do it manually. feefifofum
If you look in your DCS game directory, you will see an identical structure to the one in the github. Just add the files from the Github into those directories and you're good to go. If you back up a layer or two you can download the entire project in one click. Rudel_chw
this is absurd... how can it be it's not in the vanilla editor already? Ranting about missing features leads to nowhere ... just learn to install the Mod and be done with it :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600X - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia GTX1070ti - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar - Oculus Rift CV1 Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
vlandmist
Ranting about missing features leads to nowhere ... just learn to install the Mod and be done with it :) If you don't mind, I'd like to rant about it nonetheless, especially because Mod doesn't seem to work in my case! Are you sure it's working on current DCS version?
Pikey
Works for me! Sooner or later you stop fighting against the thin air of the forums and take action that can do what you need. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
Rudel_chw
... Mod doesn't seem to work in my case! Are you sure it's working on current DCS version? It's been a while since the last time I needed to use this Mod, but now I tested it just to be sure: Let's say I've a WW2 mission where Russia is on the blue coalition and I want to change Russia to the red side, the Mission Editor by default doesnt allow me to do that: So, I enable the Mod, this is the latest version downloaded from GitHub: Then I load the mission again on the ME and now it shows this "Update Coalitions" button: It shows a dialog with the current Coalitions, I click on Russia: and then on the red arrow (<): click OK and the Save the Mission and exit the Editor, as you should not start editing it after altering the coalitions. Enter the editor again, load the mission and then do whatever changes you need, for example I put a Me-109 on the russian side that now is red: As this Mod is not often needed, I keep it disabled so it doesnt impact on the Multiplayer Integrity checks. Best regards. Grimes
Fairly certain mission editor files aren't integrity checked. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Rudel_chw
Fairly certain mission editor files aren't integrity checked. Perhaps, just wanted to play it safe ... and it is indeed a rare event to have a Mission where I got my initial coalitions lacking; so for me it is best not to have the Mod active all the time.
