Slazi
I got a new set of pedals recently, and I am wondering how the unchained rudder should work. With the center ap channel on, the rudder pedals work I would imagine them to. However, switching on the left channel, yaw, the AP tends to lock the rudder pedals into different postions. I've noticed that moving the stick and re-trimming will change where the ap locks the rudder pedals. Switching off the yaw channel never releases the pedals. So if they are 75% left, I cannot properly counteract the forces from the main blades.
Flagrum
Understanding the function of the foot switches of the rudder pedals in the Mi-8 might help understanding the helo's behaviour (or at least narrowing the issues down a bit). Maybe this helps: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1888125&postcount=
Slazi
It's good information, and connects to having the rudder chained. But if the rudder is unchained, it doesn't work like that.
