Tholozor
I'm going to go out on a limb and say the green circle is the minimum engagement range. dresoccer4
I'm going to go out on a limb and say the green circle is the minimum engagement range. weird thing is most dont have a green circle. does that mean most SAMs dont have minimum engagement zones Acer Predator Triton 700 || i7-7700HQ || 512GB SSD || 32GB RAM || GTX1080 Max-Q || FFB II and Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle || All DCS Modules

shagrat
Green circle shows minimum ranges. Not only for SAM, but for mortars and artillery etc. as well. The circle does not account for minimum engagement height of SAMs... e.g. most of the long range SAMs have trouble engaging a Huey flying at 10-15ft AGL, so they need close range AAA or similar for protection... EDIT: btw the yellow circle is the detection range, when they can track you. Loophole
Thank you for that information, @shagrat ; that should really go into the mission editor manual somewhere - or better still be displayable as a legend on the mission editor map.
