CA unit waypoints are broken.....

idk if it has something to do with the waypoint calculations being moved to another thread, but since 2.5.6 occurred, AI waypoint calculations have been majorly screwed up...at least in MP. I havent tested in SP yet.

 

For example, if you give a unit a long on road waypoint, it's fine...most of the time..., but if you make it a combo of on road and off-road, the unit will either:

 

1. Ignore your command

2. Stay in place and literally spin in circles (I'm watching gepards do this as i type this bug report)

3. Sometimes follow your command.

 

In some cases, giving a unit a semi-complex set of waypoints will cause all units on the map to ONLY do #1 or #2 above...no matter how simple the waypoint given.

If you do have a track replay please attach it and we will take a look.

 

But I do think we have this covered in other reports, some units have been going off in different directions, or going in circles as you suggest.

If you do have a track replay please attach it and we will take a look.

 

But I do think we have this covered in other reports, some units have been going off in different directions, or going in circles as you suggest.

Unfortunately, I do not have a track of this, but it can be easily reproduced if you give a unit group a long waypoint series. However, if this has been reported in other posts, then cool!

Here I'm ataching a simple mission with a fuel truck set to do a circuit on the borders of a ramp at Maykop airfield. This used to work on DCS until last week, now the truck doesnt follow its waypoints.

 

Hope it can get fixed, as I use this type of ground traffic a lot :thumbup:

Do you mean giving them WP with Combined Arms or the ME set waypoints ?
