Good day, I just upgraded monitors from a Decade old 4:3 Samsung to a widescreen Philips LED..

The native resolution is at 1920x1080..

I'd like to know what is needed to be done to get DCS displaying at the proper Aspect Ratio for my given resolution..

I've selected 16:9 in the game settings but for some reason, DCS World still looks a bit "Squished" ....

Regards^^

I know it's not an answer to your question, but, that screenshot looks fine to me.

As a reference, the wheels for example are round and not squished, from what i can see.

Had the same impression when moving from my 4:3 CRT to a widescreen 16:10 (1920x1200) years ago, though it was more noticeable in the race sims. Ended up making lots of sideways screenshots and measuring wheel dimensions directly on the screen :D. Turns out the 4:3 was displaying the image a bit too narrow and the widescreen was actually right.

Your screenshot is correct, you'll get used to it too.

When round things are round then it is correct.

^ Well, that is indeed not the usual way of expressing image aspect ratios, but at least the result of dividing the 16 by 9 is correct :D. I wonder why it's being displayed like that for some players, though.

Aspect Ratio for 1920x1080 should be 16:9 not 1.7777. I noticed that my DCS World 2 keeps changing Aspect ratio to 1.7777.

It's not changing the aspect ratio. You can do the math.

Are you serious? 1.77777 is 16:9!
