i feel like Cartman in that south park episode where he can't wait for the was it x-box?-to come out.. and he goes and freezes himself in the mountain with snow so he wouldn't wait for the console to come out..

about dcs:submarine.. i guess it would be fun, but, also dangerous.. i always felt the subs are one bullet rifle.. you fire, you get detected and then you die.. there is no system to protect you after the enemy launches torpedo attacks on your sub, even if you avoid one hit, the enemy still knows you are there, and you cannot outrun a helicopter or airplane.. and have no SAM protection as well like ships do..

as a recon i guess the subs are great..to relay data to HQ and help coordinate a massive air-launched ASM attacks.. but firing torpedos is so loud, enemy detects you, unless they develop "stealth" launches from the tubes the subs are quite limited.. i read russians-probably americans as well, are developing just that.. silent launches from the tubes..

How does one sign up for the newsletter?

All info in those newsletters is "leaked" already a few days before on various forums, this one included. So nothing new in the news.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind combat pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

can anyone clarify that we are getting the F-15C and not the F-15E? I was under the impression RAZBAM or iris were developing this module and I didn't see a charlie under their forum.

Yes you are right. ED is developing the F-15C, so not FC3 but a fully clickable F-15C module. RAZBAM and IRIS Simulations are both working on a F-15E.

This time don't think you are wrong.. I think Wags mentioned the list on the video.I didn't even know will be a F-15C and F-18 ©..

Doesn't matter how hard i criticize ED about many things, certainly they will be better and faster than the 3rd parties.( ED which doesn't give any release dates Versus 3rd parties giving "i'm not sure whether i'll be alive or dead in that year" kinda release dates):megalol:

So ED

Actually that's not the case.

Modern torpedo's if used correctly can hit their target before anyone knows the sub is around. Also the sub can be 10+miles away and with wire guidance can have the torpedo attack from a different direction. The torpedo can also travel on the opposite side of a thermal layer, masking the sound and pop through when close. Much different than WWII.

Even when the basic location of a sub is known, if they dive deep and pick up speed they're very difficult to destroy. Often contact is lost and the attack repeats. (was my past life)

I still have my hands full learning A-10C, and Black Shark 2 soon to follow, but I grabbed that one as well, hard to resist at that price!

Well, IRIS Were working on one, they have gone AWOL with no progress for months, their forum section removed.

IRIS effectively stopped DCS work to work on FSX and as such I doubt we will ever see much from them
