Wags comentries on Glowind Sidewinder video

Thanks for the video, GS. A few comments:

  1. You may have missed the multithreading and DLSS statement at the very start.
  2. While we’d love to do a bomber like a B-52H or B-1B someday, the required reference materials are not available. While the basic aircraft operations covered in a TO -1 are, the sensor, weapon, defensive systems, datalink, comm, etc. systems covered in a TO -34 are not publicly available. So, at least for now it can only be an AI.
  3. Most of the desert scenes were recorded over the upcoming Sinai map.
  4. Yes, most of the Mariana scenes were recorded from the upcoming, free Marianas WWII map.
  5. Yes, London and Paris are part of the same upcoming Normandy 2.0 map.
  6. There are no current plans to add the A-4 as an official module. It was included as a nod to the talented community mod teams.
  7. The Phalanx system is in fact the C-RAM system. This is taking longer than expected because it needs to be able to engage targets as small as a mortar shell. This involves changes across a few areas of DCS.
  8. In addition to the Hellcat, Corsair, and Marianas PTO map, many new assets are being created to flesh out the combat environment of air, land, and sea units. It’s a huge amount of work. One step at a time.
  9. We certainly plan to do a Vietnam map in the future, but there are some substantial technical hurdles that must first be overcome to do such a map right.
  10. All the explosion effects are stock, nothing new or modified. We do plan a proper Napalm effect later.

Happy new year and all the best for 2023
