theox
Hey guys, been working on this for a bit. I wrote a log parser for DCS that will create some formatted, readable log files for you in either HTML (for CSS formatting, just throw it in a custom DIV) or plain text. Contains all the events sorted by player/unit with times converted to 24-hour clock local. See README for sending bug reports, ideas, etc. Its BETA, but it works. Hoping to add more functionality soon based on your reports. Linky: http://www.filedropper.com/a10logparser

But is there anyway you can convert this to a .zip and upload it here? filedropper doesn't seem to be working for me. Also, is this open source, and if so, what language did you write it in? I've been interested in making a debrief.log parser that parses debrief.log into Falcon 4 debrief.txt format, so that it works with the old falcon 4 debrief parser and mission parsing/debriefing/posting/statistics system we have at the 16th, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm wondering if I could adapt your code into what I need it to do for me? Thanks again, and I will check it out as soon as I get a chance!!!! theox
No problem, can do. Not open source yet (its in Java as you'll see when you run the jar file :) but I do plan for it to be open source once I get a stable release. In the meantime, feel free to give me your requirements and I'll see about popping in there as an option! File attached.A10LogParser.zip

theox
I guess this wasn't as universally useful as I thought :) Last bump for those in need of a log parser.
oritpro
A standalone .exe would be nice. Just my .02, no criticism intended. Since I am a .NET weenie I could convert it to C# if there was enough interest and with approval from the author. Then again, the author could code it in C# since they already know Java. Ok, now I am just rambling. oritpro out :pilotfly: Intel Core I7 2600K, DP67BG Motherboard, 12GB Ram, MSI GTX460, Saitek PRO Flight X-65F, Dual 1080P Monitors Flight Sims: * DCS: A-10C Warthog * DCS: Ka-50 Blackshark * Lock On Platinum * Rise of Flight * Enemy Engaged - RAH66 Comanche Vs KA-52 Hokum
theox
Extract and double-click the jar. I don't see an issue ;) I'll open the library after stable release and then some enterprising fellow can translate it. Or even better, create a shortcut to the jar, then it looks just like a standalone LOL. Edited April 15, 2011 by theox
Speed
I guess this wasn't as universally useful as I thought :) Last bump for those in need of a log parser. Well, I haven't DLed it yet, been too busy, but it's on my to-do list to look at it, and I will definately get around to it. Just give it some time though, theox, this is needed by about every online squad. Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility. Herbie
My Squadron could use something like this. I think open source could be important so it could be modded to different uses, depending on what the squad considers important. I know very little about Java, but would like this one to continue. Maybe it is just early days for others yet!!

JFCshloss
using tac view as a tool to see what units t reduce in size as casualties happen ,,,too time consuming but its all we have available for now. a parser that kicks out a new miz file minus the casualties would be a dream gift right now
