FC3 hard disk space requirements

my <root>/MODS/aircraft/Flaming Cliffs folder is reported as 1.17GB,

the module might install files outside of this location, but I am unsure.

Thank you for your answer.

If the all the planes liveries and the terrain (and all other objects) textures are in that folder that should be roughly it... those are usually the heaviest files.

Well, I'm looking at the DCS folder structure...

FC3 includes Eastern Georgia terrain, that might be in your <root>/MODS/terrains folder...

The default Caucasus folder is 16.1GB in my install, so I tend to believe that those 1.17GB might be only the aircraft... can you please check your terrains folder? I don't know how large is the FC3 terrain, but sure it should take some GBs...

I know where this info come from:

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/planes/flaming_cliffs/

but:

1. It might have been relevant back then in 2012 and is now outdated.

2. It means that all these new features and improvements (apart from added aircraft) have been applied to DCS World and are now part of the free content.

Ok, now its clear. The details on the FC3 page do mention an "extended eastern Georgia terrain", that was why...

So those 1.17GB might be most of it, if not all that it takes.

Thanks to all.
