Which is not the case of the pic below I'd call this aging and weathering of the material more than scratches, it makes the same effect on your car's paint when it needs polish, do a test next time it's sunny, take a look at your car'S paint with the sun shining on it, you'll see the same effect, looking like spider web being all over the place. You can see with this picture below what i mean. You see it with reflection of sun but look further from the sunshine and it mostly goes away, same with the canopy effect.
