When can we expect the Mi-8 manual to be available?

 

Even if it is not the final version - but it would help immensely to get to know the Hip better .....

 

 

(Please no replies here like "Soon" or "When it's ready". I get a moderator to delete it as spam - I am dead serious.)

Would be nice to have a copy of the WIP manual. A lot of the Mi-8 functions are still not implemented, so I guess the problem would be that the manual details a lot of things that aren't working yet. This would lead to a load of confusion on behalf of the players. I can kind of see why they haven't released it yet. I can imagine seeing the forum having a load of posts about why things aren't working.

RU - already available

EN - WIP (75..80%). However this task is implementing several translators and will eventually require single specialist all gather and formatting. Maybe 2..4 weeks

1) Should we expect an update on flight model of Mi-8 in next update?

2) Is there any work on FPS management? I mean I personally having FPS issues when just sit in Mi-8 cockpit (rather than other cockpits, such as Ka-50, A-10C or Huey).

It's quite a long list of missing features, but you could probably simplify it to :

 

- Nose machine gun and associated systems.

- Mine laying capabilities and systems.

In reference to the Minelaying systems I've noticed that the KMGU-2 system, already present in the Ka-50 and Su-25 arsenals, is set to a laying speed way too fast, maybe compatible with the speed envelope of the Su-25 but completely wrong (IMHO) with the speed range of the helicopters, even with a particularly fast copter like the Ka-50.

 

From the BS2 Flight Manual

The KMGU-2 electrical system ensures a regular time interval of 0.005, 0.2, 1.0 or 1.5 seconds between each cartridge release.

 

By setting the release interval to 1.0s or 1.5s the weapon system become, in the helicopter usage, a lot more efficient.

 

The first conseguence is obviously an Integrity Check problem.
