SLMOD wont start after the update this week

Recommended Posts

Hey all

Since the update this week I am not able to start the servers with the slmod hook in place

in the DCS logs we see the following:

2019-11-02 11:08:24.611 ERROR DCS: Mission script error: : [string "slmod.sendData()"]:1: attempt to index global 'slmod' (a nil value)

stack traceback:

[C]: ?

[string "slmod.sendData()"]:1: in main chunk

Anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

would appreciate it

many thanks

Specter

Ensure the file saved in Install/Scripts/MissionScripting.lua has been updated by slmod. Default version is just a few lines, if its been modified by slmod then there will be several hundred lines. Every update that file gets restored to default, if it has permission slmod will update the file automatically. If not you can probably find an older version of the file in install/downloads.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

  • 2 weeks later...

Had the same issue after updating the server today to 2.5.5.39003.

I navigated to the Backup folder in C:program games/eagle dynamics/dcs world and found the MissionScipting.lua file.

A simple copy and paste in to the Install/Scripts folder fixed the issue.

Thanks Grimes
