Frenchie
Heya folks, I'm looking to make a collective controller for DCS (fed up of using my x-52 throttle), and wondered if anyone (Devs?) had the dimensions for the Gazelles collective (Base, lever and head - dimensioned drawings would be a godsend). Ta muchly! "Remember, always treat your kite like you treat your woman." "Do you mean, do you mean take her home at the weekend to meet your Mother?" "No! Get inside her five times a day and take her to heaven and back!" "WOOF" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FragBum
Yes an actual collective input makes sim flying much better especially in VR. I don't have the actual dimensions* for the Gazelle collective but I loosely modeled mine based on approximating angular rotation and and how it appears in the VR cockpit. The button box is entirely my own design as I just wanted a fairly generic Heli SIM PIT. Here is my prototype, still a WIP :music_whistling: Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic. BaD CrC
Hi Frenchie. You can PM gillesdrone on this forum. He built a Gazelle cockpit entirely with real Gazelle parts, including collective, panel, NADIR... The only catch is you have to speak a little bit of French so I hope you deserve your nickname! https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden

Thanks a lot for this! I will see where I can get with this. Time to dust off the phrasebook methinks...:book: "Remember, always treat your kite like you treat your woman."
