IO error on perfectly good drive

Recommended Posts

Cannot update due to IO error on F drive. Be advised, I currently run the game FROM F drive including the updater. BIOS SSD mode is set to AHCI (not RAID)

History and photos attached.

Be advised my system drive is C: but DCS is installed on F: and all my drives are SSD's

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

More info

I switched my D: drive and my F: drive (both SSD's) and began again. This time the updater crashed with "database disk image is malformed"

I suspect that to be the new DRM file because I changed the drive's location?

Forgot the files to add

No, I didn't forget. I just can't see both log files I attached.

Please let me know if/when you get the files.

You definitely have problems with your drive.

Thank you for your reply. However, I did a complete wipe and reinstall and have been flying the Hornet for about 3 hours (until I got tired.) (From uninstall and reformat and then complete download of 60 GB onto the 500GB SSD to flying the Hornet = 1 hour and a half.)

My drive is perfectly okay. (SMART info was included in my post before I uninstalled.)

Thanks for your reply, though.
