Mobo/cpu combo?

Recommended Posts

Looking at the Asus ROG Maximum X Code LGA1151 (300 series) motherboard and an Intel Core i7 8086k.

Ive been away from computers for a while and Coffee Lake has me a bit confused. Is this processor X370 compatible? And at that, is the Max X (300 series) an X370 type motherboard?

The Maximus X Code is a very nice board currently use it and I must say I love it.

The Maximus X 300 series is a Z370 motherboard (X370 is the AMD Side of things and will not support any Intel CPU of course)

CPU wise Coffee Lake CPU tend to get warm quick I suggest a AIO or even one of the EKWB MLC Phoenix AIO which really is better then say most Closed Loop because there expandable with QDC fitting and are very easy to use.
