Knock-Knock
Ahhh you had my hopes up there for a moment, but IC still banishes the terrain mods. Yea sorry. Pikey
I noted Heatblur mentioned a fix in 1.5 but not for 2.1 for Viggen. Is this simply that they supplied the updates to ED or is there an update to both versions expected, anyone? ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

Reflected
As usual, the patch notes don't contain anything about performance improvements. Can it be because there is none, or will we find our game runs better or worse when we fire it up, just like last time when it got much worse? cichlidfan
I thought v2 was not available on Steam? So what does this mean? Today we release short update of DCS 2.1.1 for synchronization with arrived DCS 2.1.1 in Steam. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3233515&postcount=32 And how does one use v2.1.1 with Steam, without any terrain? Pikey
Regarding https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3233515&postcount=32 Does this mean that last weeks 1.56 patch logs are in 2.1 today, or is that way too imaginative? Basically wondering is the Viggen updates hit 2.1 from last week etc. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

Cunctator
Does this, for me, surprise Steam release mean that DCS 2.5 is just around the corner or in contrary that it will still be long wait and they release 2.1. because they can't wait any longer for additional Steam sales of 2.1 content? MikeMikeJuliet
So DCS beta on Steam is now v2.x? You can opt in to any of the versions now on steam, 1.5, 1.5 OB, 1.2 and 2.1 OA. Naturally you can only play the NTTR map while opted into the alpha... I wonder if this means you can only have one install with steam, so you play either or. Well, even with games that currently have multiple versions available, like Factorio, you can still only have one version installed. Pikey
Well, even with games that currently have multiple versions available, like Factorio, you can still only have one version installed. Yes I think this is more down to the way steam works than DCS, although I once recall a game that had a seperate install and you could have two, but its not generally the norm. Need to see if that's the case with this. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

QuiGon
OK, well theres way more options than I expected for Steam after a quick check! "Way more"? There are the three DCS branches that we are used to from the standalone variant (Stable Release, Open Beta, Open Alpha) and the latest 32bit version of DCS. While the 32bit version might be a suprise, all other options were to be expected. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! Need to see if that's the case with this. I agree. An example in my Steam collection is the racing sim Automobilista (AMS). They wanted users to be able to have separately installed and runnable versions of the game, so they created a "second" game, effectively, called Automobilista Beta. I have both installed and can therefore run both the base and the beta versions of AMS, but that seems to only work on Steam if the developer creates the separate Beta game. Dingo_Bob
hmmm!! interesting, Wonder if both Standalone & Steam now get updates and early access modules at the same time now? if so that might be the winning factor to jump back to steam and get rid of starforce and the limited activation keys, once and for all :D, wouldn't mind having to re-purchase some of the modules again either, [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Modules are like Pokemon you gotta catch 'em all :joystick::lol::pilotfly: AMD Ryzen7 3700x, G-Skills 32Gb RAM @ 3200Mhz, MSI GTX1080Ti, TM Warthog (20cm extension by Sahaj), MFG Crosswind Pedals, Oculus Rift, Track Ir5
