I have been loading the FW190D skins

When I select some of the skins I noticed that the back half of the plane from the rear of the cockpit back is pixelated.

What is going on? Are these planes an older version of DCS World?

Are there any fixes for this problem?

^ Most likely some files from the skin are missing. Double check if you downloaded and extracted them correctly.

I have a question. In the description after each .dds there is a true or false.

What does the true or false do to the skin? I noticed that the entries in the description for different skins sometimes are different.

I see you downloaded one of Jasate's skins. You didn't read his instruction and, as I said, it's strictly a missing file problem. Check the archive again, there are two subfolders there (named "swastika" and "no swastika") containing rear fuselage textures (with _01 number in them). Choose one and copy the dds to main skin folder (where _02, _03 and _04 are) - then everything will display correctly.

I suppose you made the same mistake with the JG3 skin.

Remember, whenever you see green pixelated area on any unit in DCS, it always indicates missing texture file.

P.S. - also keep in mind the oldest skins (like the aforementioned one) were made when DCS was running in DX9, so if the author didn't update them, they might not render correctly in current DX11 version (usually they will be too shiny, or have other transparency issues).

I just used these as an example of the difference between the different skins.

I copied the selected .dds texture in the folder to the main file for the skin.

I will play with it some more and will let you know

I have a general question about these entries.

What does the true and false do at the end of the entry?

I noticed that each skin is different entries.

Thanks
