Airhunter
Just wondering when the new external normal maps and the in-cockpit pilot model will arrive that were both previewed here and on a facebook more than a year ago? I'm refering to these higher resolution textures and maps that can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/photos/a.683612385159716/718558304998457/?type=3&theater and here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=218990 Plus the pilot model: https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/photos/pcb.784347008419586/784346828419604/?type=3&theater Not trying to dig something up here just wondering where all of this sits in the grand scheme of things? :)
rainyday
Heatblur mentioned that plans to finalize the Viggen will be revealed early this year. Airhunter
I do hope so. I think polishing up the Viggen before going into the full dev. process and polish of the F-14 is a must.
hideki2
I am really missing the pilot. It's a huge deal in VR.

Paveway333
Talking about textures, just wondering what happened to the awesome bare metal shaders? Used to look great, just like your viggen FB pics over nttr. Since some time back it looks more like a painted grey color. Also when viggen was first released the anti-collision lights used to scatter on the ground etc. Is this not possible with the current engine? On another note, recently discovered that when flying fast, it is really easy to g-lock when rolling to the right, but not left (clean aircraft). Airhunter
Normalmaps shipped a long time ago. Weird. Because my bare metal paint doesn't look anything like in the screenshots on facebook above. Edited January 17, 2019 by Airhunter

Cobra847
The normalmaps are different from the PBR overhaul (that will make the metal more.. metally :) ) The normalmaps dictate how the surface appears under lighting (bumps, crevices, etc. - "3D" effect, if you will). Those are implemented for sure :) PBR overhaul is part of RC1!
