Hi. I don't own the F-16 module, but many other modules (if not all?) have "Custom snap view" commands to set your own snap views so you don't have to mess with config files.

This post from Rudel_chw shows the way:

Customising a Snap View:

1. Set your current view up as you want it saved.

2. Press LWin+NumN - NumN being whichever numeric keypad key you intend customising. Your view will briefly snap to whatever the current snap view setting is for that key, then return to your previous view.

3. Press RAlt+Num0 - The snap view should now be saved.

Test it by changing your view, then holding down LWin+NumX - you should see your customised snap view!

Important: Disable/Pause your Track-IR/Head-tracker while doing it !

Keys to use when setting up the view:

"Num/ - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Back

"Num5" Cockpit Camera Move Center

"Num2 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Down

"Num* - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Forward

"Num8 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Up

"Num8" Turn Cockpit Camera Up

"Num2" Turn Cockpit Camera Down

"Num/" FOV- aka Zoom-in

"Num*" FOV+ aka Zoom-out

"NumEnter" Default FOV aka Zoom

Best regards

I don't understand your issue. I've shown you how to save any view you like (see my previous post). Have you tried recording your custom snap view yet?

Here, I've just made a short video tutorial:

I've read Rudel_chw saying that one had to disable headtracking for snap views to work. I've just tested it with my TrackIR in 2D: actually, it works very well even with headtracking on. I guess ED did some bug fixing in between.

But according to your video, it doesn't work much in VR... and I don't know much about VR. But I've done a quick search and I think you should read this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=224466

Please tell me if it helps you fix your issue.

for my understanding in VR the Headsetviewdirection is overruling all other settings

you can change and safe hight, distance and stuff

but unfortunately not the viewdirection himself

but that is what i want, i wana lock forward (HMD) and the backward via shortcut

maybe i have to train it like this one here

or someone just fix it :megalol:

thx 4 ya time

Hi guys, the setup of the snapviews works, if I am starting the missionwith my F18C, but in my case the snapshots are not being saved!

Wehen I exit e.g. the mission in order to start a new one, I always have to prepare the snapviews again. Obviously they haven´t been saved,

even though I hit [RAlt]+[Num0] for every of my 9 snapviews. What is wrong, pleeeease help!

Thanks,

Joda
