sirrah
Is it just me, or are we seeing improved mirror reflections in the last Syria teaser Hornet video's? Or is this just what it looks like on a 2D screen? (Only ever flown VR and I don't have a proper monitor, so I wouldn't know). In VR I can't see anything in the mirrors, so I just have them turned off always. Brun
Looks pretty standard to me. You can see they're still rendering at a lower resolution. Eldur
Whenever I turn on the "mirrs", I experience two things: -They're like 320x200 footage and therefor literally useless since you can't really see anything in them, it's more or less just for immersion since the real things have them, but on that part, they stick out so much that they truly don't really fit in the rest you'd see -They eat up ~30-40% of my framerate Just had them on a few times when the Tomcat was new, but then again, it's simply not worth it. However, I don't see any difference in mirrors in this new update so I guess they were not included. i9 9900k @5.1GHz NZXT Kraken |Asus ROG Strix Z390 E-Gaming | Samsung NVMe m.2 970 Evo 1TB | LPX 64GB DDR4 3200MHz EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | Reverb G1 | HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Flight Pedals
PL_Harpoon
I doubt they'll be improved anytime soon. Mirrors use additional cameras to render their images and it would be a performance nightmare if they were to use higher resolutions.
Krazee
Yes! Definitely an improvement in the mirrors. I can't even see the seat or tail of the aircraft in my mirrors no matter how I adjust my position. If not in the current OB, they'll be in an upcoming update. QuiGon
I wonder what has been improved about the mirrors though. I don't see any difference to how they look like in my game  Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! QuiGon
They look much better! Do they? Even if you have the mirror graphic settings maxed out in the current version? sirrah
Do they? Even if you have the mirror graphic settings maxed out in the current version? In current version it doesn't matter what mirror graphic (cockpit resolution) I choose, I can't see anything in them. It's like looking in an extremely convexed mirror, so that everything is washed out. Nowhere near Tomcat quality. So I'm glad to see it being improved. Will add to immersion (let's just hope it won't destroy performance though) Small side note, I only use VR. Maybe 2D is already better System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
