The brightness was dimmed down to such a low value that allowed a bright day with direct and indirect sunlight to washout the details of the displays. This goes back to June 2020. When flying in VR the issue is worse. A patch came out June 10 claiming to fix the issue but never did. The actual brightness knob hasn't worked in the MPCD since at least 2 or 3 updates.
