ElementLT
Ok I have really been feeling the itch to go ahead and purchase a 2080 Ti and upgrade my Rift from the CV1 to the S. Figured I would help offset some of the cost when I sell my 1080 Ti and of course selling my CV1. Hell I still have my track IR which has only about 4 months of usage but I have had for about 2 years now. Once I went VR - there was no turning back. For the guys who have already made the plunge with the 2080 TI, how did you guys sell your old card? Was it pretty easy to get rid of? Are used 1080 Ti's selling like hotcakes? on ebay craigslist ect?? Coming Soon... The Fraternity Returns : https://thefraternitysim.com/

ctguy1955
I purchased one of the last made 1080Ti's from EVGA knowing that I would use their upgrade program to get a 2080Ti. Nice difference but the money was a bit much. I look forward to water cooling it. EVGA was suppose to send Me a few games like BF5 but they never did. I know they were selling My old 1080Ti for 1400 on ebay.

Rossterman
Just don;t sell on eBay. The buyer protection policy there is a really scary thing. No doubt. Make sure you take plenty of hi-res pics of all areas of card including any stamping on the pcb (qa stamps). And use signature delivery only. I sold a 980ti card that guy said didn’t work when he got it. I knew it worked fine somtold him to send it back. Comparing to my pics, I could tell he disassembled it and switched out the pcb for one that was burnt out. After a few choice words on the phone, he agreed to remove the refund dispute under threat of mail fraud due to my pics showing his obvious scam. Fri13
No sense to pay over 220-250€ for a used 1080ti. Better get a new AMD RX 5700 XT for 400€ or if Nvidia then 2070 Super for 550€. Fort 200€ I could consider that I don't get: 2-3 years warranty 12-24 month resell value New features and drivers But 400€ for used 1080Ti? No.... No sense. That would have been when 1080ti original price was still 650€ before it was hyped to skies... Those who paid over 650€ for 1080ti should just suffer their overprice and suck it. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K. MegOhm_SD
Which brings me to the question: Is it worth upgrading from a 1080 to a 1080ti? 11GB Ram is a good thing...liking the EVGA Card. “Official nVidia GTX 1080 Ti Specs: 3584 Cores, 11GB GDDR5X. This is boosted over the GTX 1080’s 10Gbps GDDR5X memory speeds, resultant of work done by memory supplier Micron to clean the signal. The heavy transition cluttering of early G5X iterations have been reduced, allowing a cleaner signal in the GDDR5X cells without data corruption concerns.” Cooler Master HAF XB EVO , ASUS P8Z77-V, i7-3770K @ 4.6GHz, Noctua AC, 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro, EVGA 1080TI 11GB, 2 Samsung 840 Pro 540GB SSDs Raid 0, 1TB HDD, EVGA SuperNOVA 1300W PS, G930 Wireless SS Headset, TrackIR5/Wireless Proclip, TM Warthog, Saitek Pro Combat Pedals, 75" Samsung 4K QLED, HP Reverb G2, Win
Goa
Which brings me to the question: Is it worth upgrading from a 1080 to a 1080ti? Johnny Dioxin
Correct. But US/Canada/UK - same policy and it is so much in favor to buyers. This is why I closed my sellers account and only buy now. Even as a buyer, it's very blatantly obvious that I get pretty much what I want - even told I can keep items and have a refund, or "don't send it back" items that were not cheap. ebay is in a sorry state these days and I have tons of PC gear I want to sell. Craigslist is also a shambles here - I looked into it and it was full of prostitution offers and the like, even in the electronics section.
