imacken Posted October 5, 2019 Share Posted October 5, 2019 I set the TACAN for Vaziani (22X) in the Free Flight Caucasus mission, shows fine on the DED, but when I select TACAN mode on the HSI, there is just the red flag and no TACAN pointers, etc. I presume I'm missing a switch somewhere. Any help on this? Sorry if I'm stating something obvious, I'm at work and not with the sim, just running through it in my head. JamesRothwell Posted October 5, 2019 Share Posted October 5, 2019 I used it yesterday and was working correctly. Try it with another Tacan perhaps, maybe an issue with that particular one? I tried it right now and after entering 22X and clicking the Mode button twice to switch to TACAN i had the red flags too, i had to climb for a signal to get rid of the red flags. ILS works perfectly though Pretty sure your issue is the MIDS LVT switch not being on. However, that is not the issue that this thread is about. Thats the only thing i have to do in the free flight mission if i set TACAN 22X T/R and HSI to TCN, nothing more. Or don't i understand your post entirely?
