Raven68
Any info if trees on new map will be collide? Of course they will. But maybe not to the release if they have issues with this feature. Trees in NTTR have the collision feature, but the density of trees for Normandy seems much higher. It begs the question of how well the performance will be for trees, compared to the original release of 2.0/NTTR, if it can be answered. After Normandy provide much more density of vegetation compare to the no Man's land of NTTR remains uncertain how good this Map is running. ED Team Wags Posted January 30, 2017 ED Team Share Posted January 30, 2017 Very grateful of this, hopefully this is a result of NTTR breadth of airfield distance being a problem for Multiplayer scenarios, ED listened and understood the challenges and gave us some land across the Channel to create some airbases. It really adds to the different things you can create, thankyou. Yes, exactly. Given the low detail of the England portion of the map, I don't think it will lend itself well with single and campaign missions, but we did want to add this to better support multiplayer. 1 Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544
Vitormouraa
Crossing the lake with a Spitfire or a Mustang should be really nice. As we get closer to the pre-sale, releasing more pictures would be great, I know you guys will do this, but I'm just saying that an extra content wouldn't be bad at all! Krupi
The addition of even just a small part of England will be a game changer, I am glad you chaps had the foresight to add it so Kudos  Out of interest could the map be increased in size or is the size already pushing the boundaries? ED Team Wags Posted January 30, 2017 ED Team Share Posted January 30, 2017 My avatar shows the total size of the map. Very much doubt that will change. adrianstealth
hi I came to site to buy Normandy map, but its now delayed to end of Q1 ?? eg March release ?? EDIT : & South England is included as a fairly blank area but user can place an airfield and items in editor as needed ?
Sryan
EDIT : & South England is included as a fairly blank area but user can place an airfield and items in editor as needed ? The south of England is not a blank area. It will have several airfields But the terrain will not be as detailed as Normandy itself. bart
My avatar shows the total size of the map. Very much doubt that will change. Given this is a Normandy map, I think the area is quite ample. Yes it is....more than enough, considering most of us were not even expecting any of England to be even included. It's great news as far as I'm concerned. Looks like England stretches almost to London! on your avatar. This is shaping up to be a fantastic map, the detail in Normandy is incredible, way above what I ever hoped for. This is gonna be great for WW2 mission builders  It's probably a wee bit early (and cheeky on my behalf but I cant help but ask anyway :D ), are there any ED official campaigns planned for this map yet? Also if I may Wags.....the Spitfire campaign that was mentioned that will release with the module once it's out of beta, will that take place in Normandy or Caucasus map? Cheers for the info so far Wags, much appreciated. Very much looking forward to trying this map out. Buzzles
Definitely an ample map size considering they're WWII birds and not the quickest. Glad to see the coast of England and the ability to have some bases there present. I forsee a lot of proto-BoB missions getting made :) Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here! I would think any campaign that releases with the module would be based in the free map, Caucasus' map, otherwise people would be forced to buy the Spitfire and Normandy map to play the campaign. No news on official campaigns, but I am sure they will come, I have ideas myself :) Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

PicksKing
My avatar shows the total size of the map. Very much doubt that will change. Given this is a Normandy map, I think the area is quite ample. I dont think its about the size if somebody want South England within the map. Its about the symmetry with the channel as the axis or as the center line. You are on one side and beyond the channel ... well there are "the others". This makes the map so much more interesting for multiplayer matches.
