Certainly not a complete list, but there are several nice improvements coming to the next Combined Arms version (1.2.3). These improvements are the cause of the longer than expected beta period, but in the end, we think you will have a better product.

 

1- Command Map control of air units. You can now route them, set speed and altitude, and set targets.

 

2- Ground units in group now stay in formation with user when in first person control mode. User can set formation and ROE when in 1st person mode.

 

3- Updated, higher resolution ground unit HUDs.

 

4- Added min and max range rings for all indirect fire systems.

 

5- Added countdown timer for indirect fire missions.

 

6- Mission designer can now determine which ground units can and cannot be controlled by players (1st person and Command Map).

 

7- Platform Shake is better implemented and provides basic "weapon stabilization" option when the vehicle is on the move.

 

8- Added hot keys for hull / turret alignments, turret lock, and gun lock on azimuth.

 

9- Unit resupply added during mission, tied to cargo trucks and warehouses.

 

10. Reduced muzzles smoke effect.

 

11- Changing round type loading delay added.

 

12- Added military icons for Command Map.

 

13- Provided NVG gain.

 

14- New compass orientation options.

 

15- Signal flare options.

Warehouses have been working with airfields since the patch when FC3 was released. You have to link them manually to airbases or have the warehouse be within the circle around the base.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Thanks grimes I did not know that :)

 

but there is still an issue with limiting weapons using warehouses, for example if you limit cluster bombs you can not use mavericks and so on.

if will can control airplanes on map, some questions:

 

Deploy Racetracks for AWACS and Tankers?

Orbit Points to Attack groups?

Assign AFACs?

Deploy interceptors from airbases (Lomac/FC1/2)

 

Can be used to command Player aircraft on intercepts (AWACS/CGI)?

 

will be on the future a Beta 3 with more addons and can get orders to Sea units?

great news!! but I dont hear nothing about the WPTs of air units on the F10 map ( only available for the ground units first persons ). Without that, The first persons grounds units cannot guide the friendly air units ( the non gps on board, like Su-25 ).

The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

May wild guess is: Cargo Trucks may act as resupply base (like in Real life!)

If they have even the options like a warehouse (types and load of ammunitions) and perhaps even a storage capacity limit per truck, that would be total awesomeness!!! :yes:
