If you want people who fly choppers (and they have contingents for EU, US and Pacific timezones), I suggest you meet the Virtual 229th 1st Cav

These guys are real professionals and know their stuff.

Thanks for the replies, I have looked at the 229th but it seems to me that they are more U.S based and so there events would likely take place at unsociable hours in the UK.

My preference would be a squadron without a focus on a particularly airframe as I like to fly several and with some interesting aircraft on the horizon in would be nice to fly a good variety within the construct of an organisation.

I wiill look into 229th and TAW some more.

Escuela de Pilotos =EDP 71st=

ESCUELA DE PILOTOS “EDP 71ST”

do2ped.png

http://dcslatino.forospanish.com/

Escuela de Pilotos (Pilot School) was created in December 2013 by former “Escuadron Iberoamericano” members Guillermo “Aleman” Schelfthout and Juan “Rush” Ortiz.

Our core mission was to teach and train Spanish speaking aspirant pilots who would like to fly in the DCS series.

In most online squadrons, newbies were not accepted unless they had a basic understanding of the game (basic flying skills, cockpit instruments, etc)

This made many beginners knock on our door to learn the basics of flying a simulator in general and DCS in particular. Once their formation completed, they had the choice to either join a different squadron or stay with us as members of our school.

We kept growing and expanding through interacting with different squadrons like ECV 56 Condor or Escuadron 57. Many pilots from these established squadrons started their DCS journey in our school before evolving into official virtual combat pilots. With our numbers increasing, the need of establishing our own combat squadron became very clear. This led us to officially create our combat-ready unit for DCS: the 71st fighter squadron.

Shortly after, EDP 71st pilots made their first official appearance on the DCS scene during Situational Awareness-sanctioned Joint Warrior online battles and 104th squadron Red Flags

What is a man if he loses his homeland? We, the pilots, must fly and take the first and the strongest impact of the aggressor on ourselves so we could save at least one child in this country.

The Red Kites

-=42VFG=- The Red Kites

Are now up to strength and officially launched.

We are not taking any cadets as of November 2015 but if you feel you have specific talents we consider all applications.

  • EU based (server in UK) we are a study group of the high fidelity DCS modules but specialise in executing custom in house content in the 90's region as best the modules fit
  • We explore scenarios that require modifications and have a centralised modification list. We have mod builders and script writers and serving pilots and military on our roster
  • We fly throughout the week, no fixed daily routine via the Enjin Events calendar that all members can sign up to roles with.
  • We have a documentation library and our own training materials built from various sources over time.
  • We provide cross training for members that are already mission capable and a qualification progression system designed from scratch.
  • We have a small cadet program that we are trialling.
  • Our dedicated server provides Teamspeak and webservices and provides for private and public DCS game use.
  • Our Instant Messaging tool has over 400 messages a day, it's a very active community.
  • Our three Streamers have 3000 subs between them.
  • We took part in Blue Flag 1 & 2 and look forward to more once DCS 1.5 is more stable.

Please PM me with enquiries, we are looking to partner with EU community squadrons for NTTR Red flag style missions shortly after DCS 2.0 release.

looking to join squadron or something similar

Hi,

I am looking to join a squadron or something similar, meeting in the evenings or on weekends, US time. I own all the DCS modules and maps other than combined arms, but generally fly only the ones with clickable cockpit and non-simplified flight models. I have various degrees of proficiency with the different modules. I can start them up, take-off and land well enough, but have only rudimentary knowledge about weapons deployment, radar operation and radio navigation.

An ideal squadron for me would be one that flies several different modules, trains new pilots, and has friendly members and not necessarily hardcore military types.

I'd appreciate it if someone pointed me in the direction of a suitable squadron or club.

I think TAW would be a good match for you. It's a pretty big wing compared to others so I'm sure you will find a lot of friendly folks to fly with no matter what module you want to hit. They are organized in many Squadrons and have regular internal training missions. They also host some of the best public PvP events so they have experience in and outside of their team.

If you ever want to specialize in the Su-27 then try the 51st PVO, a great bunch of guys and the best out there when it comes to Flanker.

Same goes for the 104th Phoenix if you lean towards the F-15C.

Our squad is a fictional representation of the US Air Force Aggressor squadrons. We just started this up and are making already some progress. We have members from all over the world. If you are dedicated and up for a challenge feel free to send a application.
