Default Training

what is the time frame for training missions I purchased this today not knowing there was no training missions as per Detail tab on purchase page of DCS

No idea about missions. I personally never use stuff like that anyway, since they tend to be unnecessarily drawn out and difficult to repeat.

Missions or no, I'd suggest free flight + a video run through on youtube. There's not much to the aircraft, being a trainer it is by nature simple. Once you get the engine started you're 90% of the way there :p Weapons only involve a couple switches to arm them. The biggest 'learning curve' is quirks with the hydraulics and such, which you figure out pretty quickly.

Thanks but i do learn better when things are explained that why I got it getting it up and down is the easy part its the navigation lessons but for now will just tool along solo

I have the L-39 but cant turn off Russian instruction and did not know it was Russian till after I purchased it

The training missions are being re-written for DCS 2.5. currently with the help of an ex RAF Hawk instructor.
Currently in 1.5.8 you have voice training mission for cold start to get you going.
Also check out the Quick Start guide in the Docs folder, this explains all the systems including weapons.

I tried L-39 but I don't speak Russian and there is no English translation I also don't like to have to read subtitles, thus its not interactive just a waste of money

Hope you are correct I use VR so interactive voice lessons are the best since I really need proper lessons I will down load DCS 1.5
