I was at the Virginia Beach oceanfront Saturday for Beach Blast and then went to NAS Oceana on Sunday. I was happy to see that they had two F/A-18C's on the ramp and a few actually flew in the Fleet demo. The Hornets that flew were from VFC-12 and VFA-106 and the rest were Super Hornets. I love that distinct "whistling" sound the Hornets have when they fly by...I didn't notice it with the Supers. I took a photo of an ATFLIR attached to an F/A-18C and the shot of the Blue Angels flying over the Neptune statue at Virginia Beach is from last year.
