diferred shaders

Yes it is very nice also good in VR too, but it becomes a matter of how much GPU power you have available, I really wasn't able to run it in VR until I dropped a 1080Ti into the rig. :)

There still seems to be a few issues to sort out but it's coming along very well.:D

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

Hello

I saw a post recently discussing the relevant merits of disabling deferred shading and here are my results on my machine. You choose !!

The issues are with the cockpits, not really the landscape which definitely looks way better with DS on.

Deferred shading *should* give you a performance boost if you have a modern graphics card (Nvidia 9xx and up).

It calculates lighting and shading based on what is visible to the camera on the final render rather than for everything you can't see.

The problem is not the performance.........

With my rig I can handle ds on or off..

But the lightning of the cockpits, especially at night,

no HDR, etc...

HDR is not compatible with deferred. The lighting calculations are done in the G-buffer, so it's too late to apply HDR.

The lighting looking odd in cockpits at night will be down to shader settings and/or missing texture maps that the devs have not sorted yet.

OK. Until that is sorted, deferred shading stays off for me.
